Our beautiful lake is teeming with fish all year round. Whether it’s carp, pike, bream, or roach, all our fish are left to feed on natural resources and live happy, peaceful lives. As we’re not commercially run, a Somerset fishing holiday at Lakeview is the ideal time to introduce your family to the tranquillity of sitting by the water’s edge. We’re not the only ones who love it, either – our lake is also home to local geese, ducks, and swans!

Before arriving for your Somerset family holiday, please note that a rod license is required for fishing in the UK. You can apply for a rod license online or go to your local post office.
We also ask that bring your own fishing gear or visit the Somerset Angling store in nearby Bridgwater. We will provide a secure lock-up to store your fishing tackle during your stay. Lastly, to keep the lake vibrant and to protect our local wildlife, please read the Lakeview fishing rules.

This exclusivity means that you don’t have to worry about being inhibited by any competitive anglers. Fishing is included in the price of your accommodation, too!
How far is the lake from our holiday accommodation?
The private lake is only a few metres away from our self-catering accommodation in Somerset, so a short stroll from comfy sofas and king size beds. The majority of our holiday homes also have views of the lake from the rear bedroom windows and al-fresco patios, meaning you can relax and take in the scenic views. With the private lake being so close to our holiday homes, you can even nip back to the homes for lunch and a cup of tea!
